Ok, heres the story, I go into my shop to get my msd mod cap, wires, blaster ss coil, and bosch plugs done last Friday. The "maintenance required" light starts flashing on Thurs morning and has done so every time I start my car since. I dont think anything of it because it always went off, I thought it would stay lit. So I go in today and get a throttle rotor installed, car seemed fine, get into second and floor it, the "check engine" light comes on now, and does every time I start the car, and stays lit. Its not the wires, already checked those, the car runs at the right temp, same boost numbers, and the A/F ratio seems to be the same. My setup- JRSC, 8lb pulley, BTC, Fuel pump, Tanabe RM cat-back, Dc sports headers, AEM short ram, rotor, and the ignition mods I listed. The Acura dealer ship isn't open until Monday. Whats up? Thanks,

You need to get the error code before we can help you.
On the passenger side, pull the cover over the ecu. Reach up near the ecu and grab the green rubber thing. There will be a small connector with two holes. Short this connection with a staple, paper clip or whatever you have handy. Turn the car to run(do not start). The check engine will start blinking. Long blinks followed by short. This will tell you the number. For example LONG-LONG-SHORT-SHORT = 2(long) and 2 )short) = 22. Watch for multiple codes possibly.

Yeah, pull the code/codes as explained above and tell us what you have... then we can help you resolve the issue.

Ok, I trust you all but this wont hurt the ecu or anything will it? I just remember the term "shorting out" or whatever used rather negatively in terms of electronics. Thanks,

Ok, I think I jumped the ecu, but Im not sure. This is what I did- went under dash, looked for green rubber thing, pulled blue two hole plug, stuck one end of a paper clip in one hole, and the other end in the other hole. Turned car to run, check engine light burns for a 2 seconds (long) , goes off, the burns for 1 second (short). So is that 1 or 11? Then what the hell do those mean?

Ok, I checked my Haynes manual ( I know, Im cheap ) and it says code one is oxyegn content,a and code 11 seems to be omitted. Ok....so now my car is a geriatric or what? I'm guessing its most likely a faulty sensor, but if its not...my s/c is messed up....my intake is messed up.....my throttle rotor did something? I don't know. What do you think?

The codes will flash and then repeat... allow this to cycle three or four times to make sure of your count. HINT: The codes will be displayed from smallest to largest.

Are you telling me you think my code is wrong? Did I jump it right? The guys at HT ( I know, they dont know their ass hole from a hole in the wall) but they still think its an 02 sensor.

If you are in fact reading the code(s) properly, and you are certain that there are two distinct flashes instead of the same one over and over with a two to three second pause between each flash... then you have a code that is non-existant as far as I know. I suspect that you are reading the same code TWICE and have seen some initial flash of the MIL and did not ignore it. This is why I suggested you watch it a few times to make sure your count is correct. For instance, if you seem to get a long flash when you first turn the car to the ON position, a pause, and then a short flash... and then this pattern repeats... pause... short flash... pause... short flash... then it is a failure in the primary O2 circuit.
